"The Check-In & Check-Up: WeHealUs” (adapted from CornerStore’s successful "Black Boy Heal: See Me Hear Me" series) workshop series aims to create an environment where teens can gain valuable mental health and wellness insight, forge meaningful connections and a sense of belonging with like-minded individuals, connect with accessible resources, and hear from clinicians who look and sound just like them.

The “WeHealUs” workshop series is an intentional effort that allows our teens freedom to express their authentic selves and build relationships to address challenges that currently exist within their educational experience, at home and in their communities. We aim to provide the space for our teens to identify and learn healthy solutions to address the challenges they may face as teens who are currently navigating the quickly advancing digital age, post-pandemic, isolation, social-political climate (i.e. academic, relationships, community violence, mental health, insecurities, etc.) and transitioning from young adolescent to the emerging young adult.
